Keynote by Lyssa Adkins // 6 Sessions by Expert Coaches
If you’re like most agilists, you’re constantly looking to improve how you help others.
After all, helping others be their best is what you do, right?
And you know that to help others, YOU need to continue to learn and grow too.
Thankfully, there’s a TON of agile content available to you: Courses, Certifications, Books, Youtube Videos, Meetups, Facebook Groups, and Conferences just to name a few.
In fact, the list goes on and on…
Frankly, it can be a bit overwhelming.
In a sea of so many options, it can often feel like you’re treading water looking for the right thing to grab onto.
When you do finally find something, how do you know that the thing you reach for will help you and your team sail to success, or if it’ll just pull you under the next wave that comes by?
The truth is, without spending A LOT of time evaluating your options – time you probably don’t have – you’re likely to eventually grab onto the wrong thing. Grabbing onto just one wrong thing can drag you down, causing you weeks or months of frustration and pain.
But don’t worry…
There’s good news for passionate busy agilists like you…
Since early 2020 we’ve been hosting large online events to help agilists just like you improve their craft.
Tens of THOUSANDS of people have registered for our summits, and attended sessions by the biggest names in agile.

People in our community love our events.
Our last 5-day event had a Net Promoter score of 75 (for reference, Apple Computer has a score of 47, and Starbucks has a 77).

It’s time for us to express some of the advanced capabilities of our Agile Coaching DNA, to lift up our heads and see with new eyes the underlying patterns that either support or hinder our best efforts to help teams, value streams, and whole organizations change.
In this keynote, we will explore what it means to start working on the human systems level and stop getting trapped in the everyday ebb and flow of events, personalities, wins and challenges.
We will look at our role in transformations head-on as we will explore some bold questions:
Let Lyssa Adkins, Agility & Leadership Coach, take you on an exploration of adult human development, values memes, systems coaching and the essence of Agile to find answers to these questions.
Along the way, Lyssa will reveal one of the genes already in our DNA that we need to “upregulate” and make more active so that a key superskill can emerge.
No, the superskill is not listening.
It’s not even asking powerful questions.
Come to the keynote to find out what it is…what one superskill you can develop to increase success, flow and satisfaction. You just might be surprised!

As the world has become more technically enabled and automated, machines have taken over many transactional tasks humans once did. That same technology has created new opportunities and challenges that are most effectively solved by people working closely together with high levels of interdependence and creativity. Creating the conditions for this has proven equally desirable and elusive regardless of its growing criticality.
Yet, what if making simple changes to how we use language and what we focus on were able to shift the likelihood of inviting collaborations? What if we had proven ways to renew ourselves and others and thus be more resilient to the challenges we inevitably face? And what if those acts of renewal happen to enable us to learn and grow into new ways of thinking and behaving?
Eliciting the Positive Emotional Attractor (PEA) is an experiential talk drawing on research and techniques in cognitive science, psychology, organizational behavior, and more. Participants will be briefed on and invited to experience the PEA and corresponding Negative Emotional Attractor (NEA) directly. We will, together, discuss considerations for knowledge work, including ethics.

Many of us start our agile careers as scrum masters. Often, new scrum masters think their job is to make sure the team follows scrum practices and theory.
But this approach can quickly lead to teams falling into the trap of just going through the motions without seeing the performance improvements they should. And sadly, new scrum masters often can't figure out how to help.
What's missing in these cases?
Coaching.
In this session, Kadidra will share the "aha moment" that changed everything for her, and set her on the path from "just a scrum master" to "a coach".
It's a realization that can help you too.
If you find that you're just focusing on the Team level of things, and are concerned you're not actually helping the organization and individuals, this session is for you.
You'll leave this session with a plan for tapping into your inner agile coach so that you can stop longing for agile coaches at your organization to "save" you and your team. If you feel like you're just "going through the motions" and don't know how to make that shift from good to great, this session is for you.
After all, you are not "just a scrum master".

What makes someone a REAL Agile Coach?
Some people think that spending some money and a few days in a workshop does the trick. Then there are those that think Agile Coaching is all about the coaching stance.
Over 89,000 people on LinkedIn think they are Agile Coaches judging by the use of the title in their profiles.
But what separates all these Agile coaches from the professional Agile coach?
As Agile has become mainstream and one of the dominant ways of doing work, we are finding defining what an Agile Coach is has become a lot harder.
The Agile Coaching Growth Wheel is an open-source project of experienced Agilists seeking to “Professionalize the World of Agile Coaching”. This ongoing project seeks to define what are the competencies involved in Agile Coaching and give a common way of measuring those competencies.
Come learn about the wheel and how you can take a self-assessment to see where you are on the journey of Agile coaching.

If you’re a beginning scrum master or agile coach, and you’re wondering which steps to take to get your team to go from a group of individuals to a high performing team, this is the movie…euh…talk for you! Using the 1992 movie ‘Sister Act’ as a case study, Carmen will explain how our initially reluctant scrum master, Sister Mary Clarence (Whoopi Goldberg), takes on the challenge of coaching a struggling choir of nuns and what she does to guide them towards achieving a perfect harmony. Summarizing and highlighting the steps Sister Mary Clarence took to achieve a high performing choir, Carmen will explain why these steps could also work for any beginning scrum master or agile coach.

Hi, I’m Adam.
You might know me from such hit YouTube videos as "Sh!t Bad Scrum Masters Say", my training materials like Build Your Own Scrum, or Recess (my retrospective-in-a-box).
If there's one thing I know, it's how to make learning about your team, your product, and yourself fun...
Which is why I've assembled this fantastic group of agilists for the Agile Virtual Summit, Coaching Edition.
Like you, I’m spread thin these days… but I’m setting aside 4 hours for some valuable agile goodness on November 10th.
Join us at the summit and have some fun.
Stay agile. Never change.
